1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth! 2 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious. 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. 4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.” (Psalm 66:1 – 4)
Today is dedicated to reviewing what we have learned over the past five days. Having covered the Disciplines of Counsel, Creation and Sabbath, we have now completed our review of 11 Disciplines and considered how our practice of them can minister to a world in need.
As I reflect on the disciplines we covered this week, I see qualities of God that I need to make the world more aware of. For example: Counsel reveals His wisdom; Creation reveals His sovereignty; and Sabbath reveals His sufficiency.
Please spend some time prayerfully reflecting on what we have covered this week. God will make your time rewarding.
Question
Based on your reflections, what can you apply to help a world in need?

Based on what we learned this week, to help a world in need, I can share what I have gained from Godly counsel with anyone, Christian or non, who might benefit. Sometimes people feel hopeless in their situation, but hearing how God pulled someone else through because of Godly advice received and followed, might make a difference in their life.
I am in awe of Creation. Many people don’t take note. They don’t appreciate or notice that Creation is one of the major awesomeness of God. As Christians we should be expressive of how incredible God is. When we see, hear, experience something in nature that makes us smile big and make us say, “Wow!” over and over, we shouldn’t hesitate to give all the credit to God, not matter who we are around.
God gave us a day of rest and recovery as a command. We should obey that command. We should let people know why the Sabbath is an important day to us. I think our obedience will make a difference in someone’s life. It will also make a difference in our lives when we leave everything to God and not worry about whether or not we will miss out on a money-making deal because we decided to worship, have family time, and rest instead. We just need to depend on God because he promised He’ll supply our needs.
Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

I am aware that informative doesn’t mean knowledge. We need godly wisdom to discern truth and glean insight. Abundance doesn’t remove want and continued acquisition. In a country of excess many are without. Rest is looked down on even as automations excels and efficiencies are found.
I must first recognize God is enough, His precepts are wise and for my good and as His creation I can find rest in Him. As I move from recognition to lifestyle the world will see the change and inquire, learn and do.
Isn’t that discipleship?

Guess for me I will keep exclaiming wow” how marvelous etc what an amazing God until whoever takes notice.
If we don’t talk about God and his amazing creation in nature etc then we will be just keeping it to ourselves.
