40 Days of Discipline: Day 28 – Review

Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)

Today is dedicated to reviewing what we have learned over the past five days.  This week we focused on the Disciplines of Service and Stewardship as we considered our theme: A world in need.

This was a great week of learning and I want to thank all commentators again for adding to the richness of this experience.  I really do learn a lot from all of you.  Throughout the week, I was reminded of the importance of giving – giving myself in service, and giving God’s resources as a good steward.

Question

What stuck with you this week that you can apply as an agent of God in a world in need?

  1. Overjoyed that there are so many imperfect others living loving and sharing Gods word although we think we are NOT. Sure that we are blessed to absorb the godliness from each other to sprout in the light shown to us. OBEY is first word coming to mind.
Keep safe in His love all.

  2. This week was a lesson and reminder of the of the weight of my actions. A small gesture, good or bad, positive or negative, can have profound consequences. A heartfelt message of praise, a quick prayer with a requestor, may affirm someone’s worth and impact their personal interpretation of their value. The opposites of these will do the same.
There are many in our lives that live or die daily based on our generosity. Lord, help me to see what You see, do what You would do, give as You instruct me to give.

  3. God places people ln our lives at different times to remind us about his love and the reason for our existence. Do our actions reflect the love of God?

  4. This week, I’m reminded to be still and trust God no matter what. I look at the global crisis we have now as God’s way to awaken us and to keep focused on His power and glory. Jesus is our rock and salvation. His word is a light unto our path.
When you walk in God’s paths, in agreement with His Word, you shine with His light. You diffuse His peace. And it’s a powerful testimony! Your life speaks of God’s marvelous works

  5. I learn mucho from all comments.
This week I realize it is not easy to influence others even my siblings as they avoid me when I try to share the gospel.
So I try to pray for the world to heal.
