Several years ago the topic of love languages became very popular.  Many people tried to determine what their love language is and they also tried to see if their loved ones knew their love language.  The Bible tells us that for God, obedience is a clear love language. 2 John 1:6(a) says, “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.”  As you have read carefully about the Disciplines are you seeing them as a list of rules or are you seeing them through the lens of love?  Ask yourself why God would want you to practice the Disciplines?
